You're a sports fan? Then there's only one thing to watch tonight. First pitch between Team Puerto Rico and Team Dominican Republic is at 8 pm. The 2013 World Baseball Classic has already been a memorable one, history has been made. For both teams, this is their first trip to the finals. DR will make history as the first team to go undefeated in the tournament if they win. PR can claim probably the biggest upset of the tournament if they beat the Dominican power house. So watch the game tonight. You won't regret it.

Hi all!
I may or may not regularly post on this blog this baseball season. I set this up last year thinking I would create an everything baseball blog, but then settled on my Bridgeport Bluefish blog over on tumblr instead. Now I'm throwing out a post just to check out this here Blogger business. Its simple enough, feels like I'm working with a word processing software.
What's my baseball brain on these days? You guessed it--the 2013 World Baseball Classic. I was rooting for USA and Puerto Rico from the start of the tournament. The Dominican Team made it that much easier this past weekend when they eliminated USA from the tournament. Puerto Rico has already made it to the final. Tonight's game between the Dominican Republic and the Netherlands will decide who will play Puerto Rico. My prediction is that DR will been the Netherlands. Although the Netherlands have some offensive muscle, I don't think their pitching can stand up to the big league hitters on the DR team.
I've also managed to keep a little room in my head for the New York Yankees, my favorite MLB team. Not sure yet if its to keep track of Spring Training to anxiously awaiting the day when I can go get these:
Pay no mind to the little bald man. That's my usual partner in crime for the first Yankee Stadium outing of the season, best friend Will. Unfortunately, he ruins his fries with that nacho cheese crap. He's in charge of the wieners for opening day. As usual, I'll be taking the day off and watching the game at his place.
